Case Study
The project aimed to preserve local wisdom by engaging the youth in local wisdom trainings with elders in addition to supporting the maintenance and expansion of the group’s organic herbal garden, product-making efforts, and skills development.
Project Outcomes and Impacts
- Trainees learnt various techniques on how to make herbal compresses and herbal dish soap, as well as techniques of how to make and use natural fertilizers for the herbal garden;
- A plan of action for selling the new products was discussed;
- The youth group remains responsible for selling efforts, cutting and drying herbs, and care of the herbal garden.
