Weaving Project

Case Study
The Branch Foundation developed a project with the Koung Jor Shan refugee camp to develop a sustainable income-generating project to ensure future non-dependence on aid and women’s empowerment. The project provided 5 new weaving looms for the weaving centre, training and sourcing better quality supplies in order to fulfill the growing demand from the women in the camp to generate an income.

Project Outcomes and Impacts

  • Five new weaving looms were built and four women received weaving looms and are producing quality products and providing an income for themselves, their family and community. The fifth loom will be use to train five to six girls from the boarding house.
